I haven't done yoga before. Which class is best for me to join?
Either Nadia's beginners class on tuesday evening. Or Mariette's beginners class on Sunday evening.
Do I need to book or call first for the various Open Drop-in classes?
No. Just turn up 10 minutes before the class starts.
Do I need to bring anything to the classes?
No. Mats, blocks and blankets are provided. Just bring yourself, wearing warm loose clothing for stretching.
What are the meditation / Raja Yoga classes like?
They are for people who want to take their yoga to the next level - and discover the deeper purpose of Yoga. We currently use a number of books including Swami Vivekananda's classic book 'Raja Yoga' to explore the Eight Limbs; and Eckhart Tolle's best-seller, The Power of Now, to explore practical ways of bringing lessons from the mat into everyday life.
Do you offer concessions?
Our prices reflect the cost of hiring our venues. We do however offer concessions to students and others who give a valid reason for needing one. Please email us your reasons and we always find a suitable solution.
Do I need to be good at yoga to come on one of your yoga holidays?
No, you don't need to be 'good' at yoga to come on a yoga holiday. Students of all levels come with us to distant parts of the world. The groups are usually small enough to allow personal hands-on teaching.
Can I come on a holiday on my own?
YES! A few people come on the holidays as couples, or with a friend, but many of the folk who come on our yoga holidays prefer to come alone; sometimes for the space it affords them, but also because they enjoy meeting new people and having an adventure. Battersea Yoga holidays are known for their friendly and relaxed style. EVERYONE is welcome!
